Which airport to depart from
- Islamabad (ISB) — direct services to both Jeddah and Madinah
- Lahore (LHE) — direct capacity, and usually the deepest choice of carriers
- Karachi (KHI) — the shortest flight of the three and often the cheapest fare

The visa route, and where to check it
Usually a licensed Umrah operator
Umrah travel from Pakistan is normally arranged through a licensed operator rather than an individual application. Confirm the operator against the official Nusuk registry, and treat any agent unwilling to give you their registration as a reason to walk away.

What catches out pilgrims travelling from here
- Many mid-range handsets sold in Pakistan do not support eSIM, and the eSIM advice on every travel site assumes yours does. Check the setting before you fly; if it is missing, plan on a physical SIM at the airport and bring your passport for registration.
- Karachi departures are frequently the cheapest but land at awkward hours. Price a night in Jeddah against the cost of arriving at the Haram at 3am with luggage.
- Group fares often route through a Gulf hub with a long layover to save money. Compare total door-to-door time, not just the fare — with children the difference is not worth the saving.
Once you have the flight
Work out where to stay from the walking-distance table rather than from a search sorted by “distance from centre”, and check the season calendar before fixing your dates.
