Privacy Policy
Last Updated: July 2026 · GDPR & International Privacy Standards Compliant
1. Data Controller & Policy Scope
AlHaram.live operates as an independent informational platform providing live stream viewing, prayer time indicators, and travel guide resources for pilgrims visiting the Two Holy Mosques. This Privacy Policy details our data collection, processing, and protection practices in compliance with global standards, including the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
2. Personal Data We Collect & Purpose of Processing
Analytics & Telemetry: We process aggregated technical data via Google Analytics (including anonymized IP addresses, browser types, and page paths) under legitimate interest to monitor system health and optimize performance.
Pilgrim Prayer Requests: When submitting a prayer request on our Prayer Wall, we process your voluntary display name/alias and prayer text for public display and community Ameen interaction.
Live Interactive Features: Temporary session identifiers are processed for live chat and city switcher interactions.
Affiliate Referral Cookies: Travel partners we link to (principally Booking.com, via the Travelpayouts network) set a tracking cookie when you click a booking link, so a resulting reservation is credited to us. We never collect or store payment details on our servers.
Affiliate Network Script: we load a script from the Travelpayouts network which converts some outbound travel links into affiliate links and sets a referral cookie on click. It does not read the content of pages you visit elsewhere and is not used for behavioural advertising. It can be switched off site-wide by the operator; if you would prefer it disabled for you, block third-party cookies in your browser.
3. Legal Basis & Data Retention
Processing is based on user consent (for Prayer Wall submissions and analytics cookies) and legitimate interest (for application security and performance). Public prayer requests are retained for the active lifecycle of the platform unless deletion is requested.
4. User Rights & Contact (GDPR Compliance)
Under GDPR and global privacy laws, users hold the right to access, rectify, restrict, or request permanent erasure of their personal data from our systems.
To exercise data subject rights or request removal of a prayer submission, contact our privacy officer at: [email protected]
